After Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab sought to see if the city’s heavy traffic can be diverted to Lyari Expressway, a 7-member technical team was formed on Friday to see if this is possible.
The team will study the structural soundness of the expressway and come up with recommendations on how to reroute the traffic.
The committee includes engineers, the project director of the national highway authority, engineering consultants and a representative of DIG Traffic.
The newly appointed city administrator, Murtaza Wahab, directed earlier this week the constitution of a committee to work out a plan of routing heavy traffic via Lyari Expressway to the Super Highway.
