Sindh decides to install trackers in cars and motorcycles for enhanced security

In a recent meeting chaired by Sindh Chief Minister Maqbool Baqer to address law and order concerns, it was decided to enhance security measures by installing trackers in cars and motorcycles across the province. The meeting, attended by supervising provincial ministers, Chief Secretary Sindh, Interior Secretary Iqbal Memon, and other officials, focused on strategies for law enforcement and addressing issues related to illegal immigrants.

The Interior Secretary briefed the attendees on the efforts of the Special Branch in identifying local business centers of illegal immigrants and facilitating their return through arrangements for transport and other necessities. In response, the Chief Minister directed law enforcement agencies to initiate combing operations and urged the Census Commissioner to provide records of foreigners from the 2023 census.

Additionally, during the meeting, it was disclosed that necessary amendments to the Motor Vehicle Ordinance have been made by the Sindh government. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of installing trackers in motorcycles and cars for enhanced security measures. Subsequently, it was recommended that the Ministry of Industry and Commerce mandate the installation of trackers in motorcycles and cars throughout the province.
