Police crackdown: More than 100 child beggars shifted to Karachi shelter home

The police have begun a crackdown against child beggars and those who tempt them into this trap in all three of Karachi’s zones.

More than 100 kids from all over the city have been detained and transferred to the shelter home as a result of ongoing operations as of Thursday evening.

Additional IG Karachi Javed Alam Odhu gave instructions to the DIGs and SSPs of the three zones in this regard.

Over 100 children of various ages were detained today during police operations at traffic lights, intersections, and markets in the city. These children were taken to the police stations, where they were later taken to a special home for abandoned children in Korangi.
