Mobile Application to verify domestic servants’ criminal records

A new initiative has been undertaken by the police to help reduce crime rates within the city. The police has decided to launch an application which will contain past criminal records of domestic servants and will be used to verify the particulars of these people.

This new project has been launched due to the emergence of multiple burglary reports in which domestic servants were involved in the robbery, particularly in the posh areas of the city. As stated by the police, this application aims to help citizens hire persons who do not have prior criminal involvement and have clean background records. This may also result in the crime graph going down.

South District SSP Sheeraz Nazeer said that in the initial phase the police will collect the data of domestic servants. Once launched, citizens will be able to cross check information of any prospective domestic servant using the application. If the prospective servant has any criminal record, a red tick would appear on the screen, clearly warning the person.

The application will also be able to help people who are renting out their places to verify prospective tenants’ criminal records.
