Meteorological analyst warns of impending cold wave in Pakistan

Meteorological analyst Jawad Memon has issued a cautionary note, forecasting the likelihood of a cold wave sweeping across Pakistan in the next two days. The effects of a western wave, currently impacting the country, are primarily concentrated in Punjab and the northern regions, with the center of the system extending from Afghanistan to adjacent parts of Pakistan. Notably, heavy rains in Sindh and Balochistan are subsiding.

As per Jawad Memon’s analysis, the weather in Sindh and Balochistan is anticipated to transition to dry and cold conditions within the next 12 hours, marking the end of heavy rainfall. Conversely, there is a potential for rain in various areas of upper Punjab and the northern regions.

Memon suggests that snowfall may occur in mountainous areas within the next 24 to 36 hours. By the afternoon or evening of February 6, the system is expected to gradually move away from most Pakistani areas. However, following this system, there remains a possibility of a new wave of cold weather enveloping the country.

The advisory serves as a heads-up for residents and authorities to brace for the upcoming weather conditions. As the meteorological dynamics unfold, citizens, particularly in the affected regions, are urged to stay informed about the evolving weather patterns and take necessary precautions to cope with the anticipated cold wave.

The timely warning from Jawad Memon provides valuable insights into the changing meteorological scenario, facilitating preparedness efforts and ensuring the safety and well-being of communities across Pakistan.
