The death toll from heatstroke in Karachi has reached 49 between June 21 and July 1, according to the Sindh Health Department.
Today, four more fatalities were reported, all at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. This hospital has recorded the highest number of heatstroke deaths, totaling 23.
Civil Hospital has reported 18 deaths, Qatar Hospital has seen 3, and Jinnah Hospital has recorded 5 heatstroke-related fatalities.
The Health Department continues to monitor the situation as the extreme heat persists.
