A police mobile of Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) Jamshoro has been seized for carrying 65 kg of charas (hash) in Karachi, five personnel have also been arrested.
According to SSP Jamshoro Javed Baloch, the CIA in-charge Jamshoro Sarwar Haliputa has claimed that the drugs were being carried for the investigation in Karachi. However, the CIA department claimed that there was no record of sending drugs in a police mobile.
CIA in-charge and 38 other CIA personnel have been terminated from their posts and the CIA centre has been sealed, said the SSP Jamshoro.
On the other hand, in Karachi, the five personnel carrying charas have already been arrested.
Further investigation is underway, an inquiry committee of 7 civil officers including two DSPs has been set to further probe the seized drugs and the case.
