Global demand for tickets to the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027 has surged past the one-million mark, with more than one million ticket applications submitted in less than three days after the ballot opened on October 1.

More than 320,000 fans have already registered for the ticket ballot, submitting applications for matches across South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia as anticipation builds for the 14th edition of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.
The India vs Pakistan group-stage match scheduled for October 10 has attracted the highest demand so far, with more than 100,000 ticket applications received.
The South Africa vs India fixture follows with more than 86,000 applications, while India vs Australia has received more than 80,000 applications.
The pre-seeded Super 7 match between India (A1) and Pakistan (A3) on November 7 has attracted almost 75,000 applications, making it the fourth most sought-after fixture.
The World Cup final on November 21 has also generated strong interest, with almost 65,000 applications already submitted.
World Cup to Feature 14 Teams
The 2027 World Cup will feature 14 teams, with matches taking place across the three host countries.
The tournament is scheduled to begin on October 2, while the final will be played on November 21.
The ticket ballot has been opened to give cricket fans around the world an opportunity to register for a chance to attend matches during the tournament.
Ticket Prices Start at $9.62
Ticket prices start at US$9.62 (R158) for entry-level tickets and rise to US$31.31 (R514) for the highest-tier matches.
The organisers have also introduced special pricing and ticketing options for families, students and pensioners, along with early-bird local allocations and pricing for community clubs and school groups.
ICC CEO Highlights Global Interest
ICC Chief Executive Officer Sanjog Gupta said the one-million-plus applications received in the opening period demonstrated the global appeal of the Cricket World Cup.
He said ICC events had become major sporting spectacles that crossed cultural and geographical boundaries while helping expand cricket’s global fan base.
Gupta also highlighted the significance of hosting a major ICC men’s event in Africa after two decades.
He said the tournament would bring attention from cricket fans across more than 120 countries, adding that the ICC wanted to make the event more accessible to fans, athletes and communities.
Ticket Ballot Deadline
Fans can register for the ticket ballot and select their preferred matches until 23:59 CAT on November 21. Applications can be submitted through the official Cricket World Cup ticketing platform.
