Roshan’s family and residents of the area have continued their protest outside Manghopir Police Station for the eighth consecutive day, demanding the arrest of the suspects involved in his killing.
Roshan’s father has denied rumours surrounding the case and said his son would not be buried until the killers are arrested.
“My son will not be buried until his killers are arrested,” the victim’s father said.
Several rounds of talks between the victim’s family and police officials have failed to produce an agreement.
A meeting between Roshan’s father and Karachi Additional Inspector General Azad Khan also remained unsuccessful.
The family has maintained its protest outside the police station and continues to demand immediate action against those responsible for Roshan’s killing.
Police said two teams have been formed to arrest the suspects and claimed that those involved would be arrested soon.
Earlier, Karachi police suspended Manghopir Station House Officer (SHO) Raja Zulfiqar following the killing of a teenager who reportedly resisted a robbery in the area.
According to the report, Additional Inspector General Karachi Azad Khan suspended the SHO over what was described as a failure to control rising crime in the area.
The victim’s parents had staged a sit-in outside Manghopir Police Station following the killing.
According to the grieving family, robbers entered their home on Monday and opened fire, killing their only son.
The victim’s father said his son had recently passed his matriculation examinations with high marks and was the only brother among eight sisters.
He also alleged that two of the robbers were wearing police uniforms. The allegation has not been independently established in the information provided.
Meanwhile, Roshan’s family continues to demand the arrest of the suspects before proceeding with his burial.
