The body of a 7-year-old girl who was allegedly sexually assaulted and murdered was found in Karachi’s Quaidabad area on Friday, according to police and hospital officials.

The girl’s body was discovered at a construction site near Mengal School in Landhi’s Muslimabad Colony, prompting a large gathering of residents at the scene.
According to Malir Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Irfan Bahadur, the girl had gone missing on Thursday at around 2pm. Her body was recovered from the area a day later.
The police said they were awaiting the doctors’ findings before proceeding with further legal action.
The child’s body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities and examination.
