Step 2: Check Eligibility

1. Aero Trade

Candidates applying for the Aero Trade must have:

  • Matric (Science) with at least 65% marks.
  • Age: 15½ to 20 years

2. Aero Support

Applicants for the Aero Support trade must possess:

  • Matric (Science) with a minimum of 65% marks.
  • Age: 15½ to 20 years

3. PF&DI (Physical Fitness & Drill Instructor)

Candidates interested in the PF&DI trade must have:

  • Matric (Science) with at least 65% marks, or
  • Matric (Arts) with a minimum of 60% marks.

  • Minimum Height: 178 cm
  • Maximum Height: 188 cm

4. Security

For the Security trade, applicants must have:

  • Matric (Science) with at least 65% marks, or
  • Matric (Arts) with a minimum of 60% marks.

  • Minimum Height: 175 cm
  • Maximum Height: 188 cm

5. MTD Driver (Mechanical Transport Driver)

Candidates applying for the MTD Driver trade must possess:

  • Matric (Science) with at least 65% marks, or
  • Matric (Arts) with a minimum of 60% marks.
  • Age: 17½ to 21 years
  • Minimum Height: 168 cm
  • Maximum Height: 188 cm
  • Applicants aged 18 to 23 years must also hold a valid LTV or HTV driving licence.

6. Fire Fighter

Applicants for the Fire Fighter trade must have:

  • Matric (Science) with at least 65% marks, or
  • Matric (Arts) with a minimum of 60% marks.
  • Age: 17½ to 21 years
  • Minimum Height: 168 cm
  • Maximum Height: 188 cm

Candidates possessing a valid LTV/HTV driving licence may apply up to 23 years of age.

7. Medical Assistant

Candidates applying for the Medical Assistant trade must possess:

  • FSc (Pre-Medical) with at least 70% marks, or
  • Matric (Science) with 70% marks and a two-year diploma in Allied Health Sciences from a government-recognized institute.
  • Applicants must have obtained at least 65% marks in English.
  • Age: 16½ to 20 years
  • Minimum Height: 163 cm
  • Maximum Height: 188 cm

8. Musician

Applicants for the Musician trade must have:

  • Matric (Science or Arts).
  • Age: 16½ to 20 years
  • Minimum Height: 163 cm
  • Maximum Height: 188 cm

Candidates should be proficient in playing one or more musical instruments and may be required to demonstrate their musical skills during the selection process.
