Sindh Transport and Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon stated on Thursday that the provincial government intends to launch the Karachi-Sukkur bullet train project.
He said this while chairing a meeting in Karachi about the Yellow Line BRT project. The meeting was attended by a World Bank delegation as well as officials from the Ministry of Transport.
The minister stated that the Sindh government is planning a Karachi-Sukkur bullet train project and needs World Bank assistance.
He told the meeting that the Sindh government is working tirelessly to improve Karachi’s transportation system.
The minister went on to say that the government was planning a first-phase bullet train project between Karachi and Hyderabad with World Bank assistance.
