All six cantonment boards in Karachi have announced a comprehensive waste management and offal collection plan ahead of Eidul Adha 2026, activating dedicated sanitation teams along with supervisor contact numbers to ensure timely disposal of animal waste across residential and commercial areas.

The initiative has been introduced to maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and public safety during the Eid holidays, when the volume of sacrificial animal waste typically increases significantly.

Officials from the cantonment administrations have urged residents to cooperate fully with sanitation teams and avoid disposing of offal in open areas, including roadsides, drains, and vacant plots.

The cantonment boards have also warned that improper disposal of animal waste can lead to environmental pollution, foul odor, and public health risks, especially in densely populated neighborhoods during hot weather conditions.
