Daraz and Visa have expanded their partnership to support more than 4,000 flood-affected families across Pakistan following severe flooding that destroyed villages and left millions of people in need of emergency assistance.

According to a statement issued on Friday, Visa allocated Rs22 million to purchase essential relief items through the Daraz marketplace, while Daraz managed the logistics and worked with its network of sellers to arrange the items at cost price.
The partnership brought together Visa’s financial contribution and Daraz’s digital marketplace and delivery network to help provide essential supplies to communities affected by the floods.
Daraz also collaborated with humanitarian organisations involved in flood relief operations across the country to ensure the donated items reached affected communities.
The organisations involved in distributing the relief supplies included the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), JDC Foundation Pakistan and Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan.
According to Daraz, the relief supplies were distributed among flood-affected communities in different parts of the country, benefiting more than 4,000 families.
The donated items included essential supplies such as dry food staples, biscuits, mosquito repellents and sanitary products.
Daraz and Visa said their expanded collaboration reflects their efforts to support communities during emergencies by combining financial resources, digital platforms and logistical capabilities.
The initiative also highlights the role of private-sector partnerships in helping humanitarian organisations deliver essential supplies to families affected by natural disasters.
