The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued its latest weather forecast for Karachi, predicting hot and dry conditions over the next three days from May 3 to May 5, 2026.
According to the PMD, while Karachi will experience hot and dry weather, a heatwave alert remains in place for central and upper parts of Sindh, where daytime maximum temperatures are likely to remain 3-5°C above normal today.

Districts including Jamshoro, Dadu, Shaheed Benazirabad, Kashmore, Ghotki, Sanghar, Khairpur, Nosheroferoz, Jacobabad, Larkana and Sukkur are expected to continue bearing the brunt of the heatwave conditions.
Dust storms and gusty winds are also likely in Jacobabad, Larkana, Kashmore, Shikarpur, Sukkur and Ghotki districts today.

Sunday will bring hot and dry conditions to Karachi with maximum temperatures ranging between 38-40°C. Minimum temperatures will hover around 28°C overnight. Morning humidity will remain at 75 per cent while evening levels will ease to 40-50 per cent. Winds will blow from a West/Southwesterly direction.

Monday will see the hottest conditions of the three-day period with temperatures soaring to 39-41°C under hot and very hot dry weather. Overnight lows will range between 27-29°C. Morning humidity will drop significantly to 40-50 per cent while evening levels will fall further to just 15-25 per cent creating very dry conditions. Winds will shift from Northwesterly to West/Southwesterly during the day.

Tuesday will bring some relief as maximum temperatures ease slightly to 36-38°C under hot and dry conditions. Minimum temperatures will remain between 27-29°C. Morning humidity will rise to 55-65 per cent while evening levels will settle at 45-55 per cent. Winds will blow from a West/Southwesterly direction.

The PMD has advised the general public, especially children, women and senior citizens across the province to take precautionary measures during the ongoing heatwave.
Residents are strongly advised to avoid direct sun exposure during daytime hours and remain well hydrated.
Farmers are also advised to manage their crop activities and take care of their livestock keeping in view the prevailing weather conditions.
Additionally residents in vulnerable areas are warned that dust storms may damage loose structures including electric poles, trees, vehicles and solar panels.
