The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued its latest weather forecast for Karachi, predicting hot and humid conditions over the next three days from April 30 to May 2, 2026.

According to the PMD, while Karachi will experience hot and humid weather, a heatwave alert remains in place for central and upper parts of Sindh, where daytime maximum temperatures are likely to remain 4-6°C above normal till May 3.

Districts including Jamshoro, Dadu, Shaheed Benazirabad, Kashmore, Ghotki, Sanghar, Khairpur, Nosheroferoz, Jacobabad, Larkana and Sukkur are expected to continue bearing the brunt of the heatwave conditions.

Thursday brought hot and humid conditions to Karachi with maximum temperatures ranging between 35-37°C. Minimum temperatures hovered around 27°C overnight. Morning humidity remained high at 81 per cent while evening levels eased to 50-60 per cent. Winds blew from a West/Southwesterly direction.

Friday will see temperatures climbing further with highs reaching 36-38°C. Overnight lows will range between 26-28°C. Morning humidity will decrease to 65-75 per cent while evening levels will drop to 40-50 per cent. Winds will continue from a West/Southwesterly direction.

Karachi Weather on Saturday, May 2, 2026

Saturday will bring hot and dry conditions with occasionally windy spells, as maximum temperatures remain between 36-38°C. Minimum temperatures will range between 26-28°C. Morning humidity will ease further to 55-65 per cent while evening levels will drop to 35-45 per cent. Winds will blow from a West/Southwesterly direction.

The PMD has advised the general public, especially children, women and senior citizens across the province to take precautionary measures during the ongoing heatwave.

Residents are strongly advised to avoid direct sun exposure during daytime hours and remain well hydrated.

Farmers are also advised to manage their crop activities and take care of their livestock keeping in view the prevailing weather conditions.
