The initiative aims to convert local coal into ammonia and urea, reducing Pakistan’s reliance on imported fertilisers. Feasibility studies for the project are expected to be completed by May 2026.

Livestock track & trace project:

The agriculture and livestock sectors were also reviewed, with plans to introduce modern livestock tracking systems, vaccination programs, and disease diagnostic facilities.

Authorities aim to establish diagnostic laboratories and a livestock registration authority through technology transfer and collaboration with Chinese partners.

Environmental cooperation & water Projects:

Environmental cooperation was another key agenda item, including proposals for sewage treatment and water supply projects. However, some options were deemed financially unviable, prompting the chief minister to call for more cost-effective and sustainable solutions.
