The Pakistan Meteorological Department has stated that a system of westerly winds has entered the country, bringing a change in weather across Sindh, including Karachi.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), rain is expected to begin in most districts of Sindh from today, March 18.

In Karachi, light drizzle may occur at a few places on Wednesday, while thunderstorms with gusty winds and heavier rainfall are likely on Thursday.
An early warning alert issued by the department stated that the weather in Karachi will remain partly cloudy, with intermittent rain and strong winds at times.
Officials have also warned that gusty winds during rainfall could pose risks to weak structures and signboards in some areas.
The minimum temperature recorded in the city on Wednesday morning was 23.2°C.

Due to light cloud cover and cool winds, the weather remains pleasant in different parts of Karachi.
The Met Office added that the intensity of heat is expected to decrease from today.
The maximum temperature is likely to range between 33°C and 35°C, while the minimum temperature may stay between 21°C and 23°C.
Humidity levels are expected to remain high, between 75% and 85%.
Authorities have advised citizens to take precautionary measures, avoid unnecessary travel during heavy rain, and stay in contact with relevant authorities in case of any emergency.
Earlier this season, Karachi experienced light winter drizzle, which provided temporary relief from dry conditions and slightly lowered temperatures.
A similar pattern is now expected as the city prepares for changing weather conditions ahead of Eid.
