The Government of Pakistan has announced a significant hike in petroleum product prices for the second fortnight of February 2026.
The new prices will come into effect from February 16, 2026, as confirmed by an official statement issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division) on Sunday.

According to the notification, the federal government has revised the existing prices based on the recommendations submitted by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
The decision comes amid fluctuating trends in the international oil market and currency exchange rate adjustments.

Under the revised pricing structure, the price of High Speed Diesel (HSD) has been increased by Rs. 7.32 per liter. The new price of HSD will now stand at Rs. 275.70, compared to the previous rate of Rs. 268.38 effective from February 1, 2026.

Similarly, the price of Motor Spirit (MS), commonly known as petrol, has also witnessed an upward revision. The new price for MS has been set at Rs. 258.17 per liter, showing an increase of Rs. 5.00 per liter from the existing price of Rs. 253.17.
