Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 11 has a record-breaking franchise sale, with OZ Developers acquiring the ownership rights of the Sialkot team for 1.85 billion PKR for a 10-year period.
The head of OZ Developers, Majeed Chaudhry, not only participated in the auction but also made history by purchasing the most expensive PSL team ever, surpassing the previous record set.

The auction, held at the Jinnah Convention Centre in Islamabad, saw a total of two new teams sold, Hyderabad and Sialkot, for a combined amount of 3.6 billion PKR.
Majeed Chaudhry, owner of OZ Developers and the Sialkot PSL franchise, is originally based in Australia and returned to Pakistan two years ago.
Speaking to Express News before the auction, he said, “While living abroad, I always wanted to do something for my country. Cricket is the one thing that unites the whole nation, and I have loved it since childhood.”

Chaudhry added that he has been working on launching the new PSL team for the past one and a half years.
“People laugh when everyone was leaving the country, and I was coming back to Pakistan,” he said.
