The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced a nationwide public holiday on December 25, 2025, to mark Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas.
According to an official notification issued by the Government of Pakistan, the State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on Thursday in observance of two nationally significant occasions.

December 25 marks the birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, and is observed as a national holiday across the country.
The same date is also celebrated globally as Christmas Day, making it a shared public holiday for religious and national remembrance in Pakistan.

As per the announcement, all offices of the State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed for both public dealings and internal operations throughout the day.

Commercial banks and financial institutions generally follow the State Bank’s holiday schedule, meaning banking services may also remain suspended on December 25.
Customers are advised to plan their financial transactions, cash withdrawals, and official banking matters in advance to avoid inconvenience during the holiday.
