Karachi Blues showcased their dominance in the sixth round of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2025-26, defeating Peshawar by a massive 218 runs at the Marghzar Cricket Ground on Saturday.

Mohammad Hamza starred with the ball, taking five crucial wickets for 63 runs in 17 overs, helping Karachi Blues secure a commanding win.

Earlier, Saad Baig led the way with a century, scoring 109 runs in the first innings, supported by Saud Shakeel (93) and Usman Khan (84).

Peshawar put up resistance in their second innings with Iftikhar Ahmed scoring a valiant 108 off 173 balls, while Mohammad Haris added 60 runs.

However, the effort wasn’t enough as Karachi’s bowlers ensured a comfortable victory.

In the second innings, Karachi Blues declared at 283-3, with Saad Baig continuing his rich form with 116 and captain Shan Masood unbeaten on 101.

Chasing a mammoth 510, Peshawar struggled under pressure and were eventually bowled out, giving Karachi a 218-run victory.

Elsewhere, high-scoring draws marked other round-six matches.

At the Shoaib Akhtar Cricket Stadium, FATA Region declared at 687-7, highlighted by Khushdil Shah’s double century (206) and Salman Khan Jr.’s 133.

Abbottabad fought back with Shahzaib Khan scoring 167 and following on to reach 165-2 by stumps, ending the match in a draw.

Another thrilling contest between Bahawalpur and Sialkot ended in a high-scoring draw.

Bahawalpur posted 511, led by Mohammad Ammar’s 166, Saad Khan’s 155, and Mohammad Sudais’ 112.

Sialkot responded with 614-9, with Mohammad Huraira top-scoring with 178, while Abdullah Shafique and Mohsin Raza contributed 71 and 74 runs, respectively.

Islamabad and Faisalabad both secured victories in their encounters.

Islamabad defeated Multan comfortably, chasing a small target of 10 runs without losing a wicket, after a dominant bowling performance restricted Multan in both innings.

Faisalabad beat Lahore Whites by four wickets, thanks to Khurram Shahzad’s five-wicket haul and a solid 42-run innings from young opener Faham-ul-Haq, guiding their side to victory.
