A severe cyclonic storm over the northeast Arabian Sea continues to affect coastal weather patterns, though the Pakistan Meteorological Department said Karachi is expected to experience partly cloudy and humid conditions.
According to the Met Office, the system is centered about 390 kilometers south-southwest of Karachi and has intensified into a severe cyclonic storm moving west-southwestward away from Sindh’s coastline.
Officials said the storm’s shifting trajectory has reduced any chance of direct impact on Karachi, though light drizzle, strong winds, and rising humidity levels are expected in the city.
Districts including Thatta, Badin, Sujawal, and Jamshoro may witness light to moderate rain and isolated thunderstorms under the storm’s extended influence, particularly during afternoon and evening hours.

Authorities have advised fishermen not to venture into deep sea waters, warning of rough to very rough sea conditions and strong gusts that could endanger small and medium-sized vessels.
The Pakistan Navy and coastal management agencies remain on high alert, monitoring the storm’s path while coordinating precautionary measures to ensure safety along the Sindh and Makran coasts.
The Met Department added that most parts of interior Sindh are likely to stay hot and dry, with daytime temperatures expected to remain higher than the seasonal average throughout the weekend.
