The police has decided to deploy latest technology for snap checking around the city to tackle the issue of street crimes, according to sources.
The police department says decision to use this mechanism was put forward by Additional Inspector General Karachi Ghulam Nabi Memon and later approved by Sindh IGP Dr Syed Kaleem Imam.
According to news report, about 105 snap checking points would be spread out over the city. One district would have about 15. At these points police snap checkers would use modern technology to check registration number plates of vehicles.
