The program is part of Oman’s initiative to strengthen academic cooperation and cultural exchange with Pakistan. Supported by HEC, the scholarships cover studies in engineering, humanities, information technology, and other sciences, excluding medicine.
Scholarship Benefits:
Selected students will receive a 100% tuition fee waiver, a monthly stipend of OMR 200 (without housing) or OMR 140 (with housing), and one round-trip air ticket per academic year. Applicants can choose up to three universities and two academic majors while applying.
Eligible universities include Nizwa University, Al Buraimi University, Sharqiyah University, Dhofar University, Majan University College, and Gulf College.
Eligibility Criteria:
Must be a Pakistani national.
Completed Intermediate or equivalent within the last 3 years.
Age limit: 23 years.
Medically fit.
Must obtain an Equivalency Certificate from Oman’s Ministry of Education.
Application Deadline:
Students may apply directly to Omani universities by August 25, 2025, while the final deadline for HEC submission is September 23, 2025. Applicants must register through the official portal, with HEC advising early submissions due to limited seats.
This opportunity follows a series of achievements by Pakistani students abroad. Recently, a team secured one Gold, one Silver, and two Bronze medals at the 2nd International Nuclear Science Olympiad (INSO-2025) in Malaysia, highlighting Pakistan’s rising academic potential.
The Omani Scholarship Program is expected to open new academic pathways for Pakistani students and foster stronger educational and cultural ties between the two countries.
