The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather outlook indicating mostly cloudy and humid conditions for Karachi and surrounding districts, with chances of light rain or drizzle continuing through Sunday, August 3.
As part of the ongoing monsoon system, high humidity and overcast skies are contributing to muggy conditions throughout the region. While temperatures remain moderate, the humidity is expected to significantly elevate the “feels-like” temperature during both morning and evening hours.
Daytime highs in Karachi Division are forecasted to range between 31°C and 33°C, while nighttime temperatures will hover around 27.9°C. Winds are expected from the southwest, providing some relief, though not enough to offset the persistent humidity.
Humidity levels will remain elevated, with morning readings near 74% and evening levels ranging from 55% to 65%, creating discomfort especially during early and late hours.
Residents are urged to:
- Stay hydrated
- Limit outdoor exposure, especially during peak humidity hours
- Monitor official advisories for updates on rain or flooding in low-lying areas
