The schedule for the T20 International tri-nation series between Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the UAE has been announced, with Pakistan and Afghanistan to play in the opening match on August 29.

According to the schedule announced by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Pakistan will kick off its campaign in a T20 International tri-nation series against Afghanistan on August 29 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

The tournament, which also features the United Arab Emirates (UAE), will run from August 29 to September 7.

The tri-series is strategically planned as a preparation platform for the upcoming ACC Men’s T20 Asia Cup, set to be held in the UAE from September 9 to 28.

All matches in the tri-series will be played under lights, with Pakistan’s opener against Afghanistan starting at 7:00 PM PST.

Looking beyond the tri-series, the Asia Cup 2025 will begin on September 9, with a curtain-raiser between Afghanistan and Hong Kong.

The tournament, played in T20 format, will serve as a key lead-up to the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, which will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.

Pakistan’s Asia Cup journey starts on September 12 against Oman, followed by a critical group-stage match against UAE on September 17.
