In the latest ICC T20I rankings, Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan and Hasan Nawaz have made notable advancements following their performances in the recent three-match T20I series against Bangladesh, which ended in a 2-1 defeat for Pakistan.

Sahibzada Farhan has been the biggest mover among Pakistani batters, making a remarkable jump of 69 places to break into the top 100. The opener now sits at 97th position with 389 rating points, marking his career-best ranking in the format.

Middle-order batter Hasan Nawaz also showed impressive form, climbing 14 spots to share the 54th position with South Africa’s power-hitter David Miller. Both players currently hold 500 rating points following Nawaz’s consistent performances during the series.

Captain Salman Ali Agha saw modest improvement in his ranking, moving up two places to 91st with 400 points, while young opener Saim Ayub also gained two spots to reach 62nd position in the batting charts.

However, Pakistan’s established stars faced setbacks in the rankings. Former captain Babar Azam slipped one place to 14th, while wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan dropped to 16th position. Mohammad Haris suffered the most significant decline among Pakistani batters, falling 15 places to 65th with 476 points.

The bowling rankings presented a similar story of struggles for Pakistan. No Pakistani bowler currently features in the top 20 of the T20I bowling rankings.

Pace duo Abbas Afridi and Haris Rauf both dropped two places to 24th and 26th respectively, while spearhead Shaheen Afridi could only manage a one-place improvement to 35th with 536 points.

Spinners Abrar Ahmed and vice-captain Shadab Khan also saw their rankings dip, with Ahmed falling two spots to 51st and Khan sliding two places to 67th.

These declines reflect Pakistan’s collective bowling struggles during the Bangladesh series.

The mixed results in the rankings mirror Pakistan’s inconsistent performances in the T20 format, with emerging players making gains while established stars struggle to maintain their positions at the top of the charts.
