Pakistan and Turkiye have jointly called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and unrestricted humanitarian aid to address the worsening crisis in the region.

In a telephonic conversation on Monday, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan expressed deep concern over the escalating humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, including starvation, forced displacement, and the loss of innocent lives.

Both leaders strongly condemned Israel’s ongoing military actions and stressed the urgent need for coordinated international efforts to achieve a just, lasting, and comprehensive peace in the region.

They also expressed hope for meaningful progress at the United Nations’ international conference on the two-state solution, being held the same day, and reaffirmed their unwavering support for the Palestinian cause.

Separately, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar also held a phone call with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi.

They also discussed bilateral matters and the possibility of a high-level Iranian visit to Pakistan in the near future.

Pakistan continues to engage with regional partners to push for a ceasefire and mobilize international action to end the suffering in Gaza.
