Sulaiman Khan and Kasim Khan, sons of imprisoned former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, met US Congressman Brad Sherman in Washington to seek support.

The visit marked the beginning of their campaign to gain international support for their father’s release in Pakistan.

Congressman Sherman posted on social media platform X, expressing concern over Imran Khan’s isolation. He noted that Imran had limited access to family, friends, legal counsel, and doctors.

Sherman added that the former prime minister’s health might be worsening, according to his sons. He stressed that Pakistani leaders deserve fair treatment under the law.

The meeting follows the brothers reported plans to return to Pakistan. They aim to join rallies demanding Imran Khan’s freedom.

The Khan Brothers have gained media attention recently. They appeared on podcast, condemning the “inhumane conditions” of their father’s imprisonment.

Imran Khan has been in Adiala Jail since August 2023. He is serving time in a £190 million corruption case. He also faces terrorism-related charges linked to the May 9, 2023 protests.

Earlier, the brothers met U.S. presidential envoy Richard Grenell in California. A photo on X showed them with Grenell and Dr. Asif Mahmood, Vice Chairman of the U.S. Commission on international Religious Freedom.

Grenell voiced support, saying, “Stay strong, millions are tired of political prosecutions. You are not alone.”

The brothers also met several U.S. lawmakers, including Joe Wilson, Andt Harris, Ted Lieu, and Bill Huizenga.
