Chairman of the Gwadar Port Authority (GPA), Noorul Haq Baloch, has invited local investors to set up industrial units in the Gwadar Free Zone, offering land at concessional rates and a host of incentives.
In a meeting with the Gwadar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), He said plots will be allotted on a priority basis to investors contributing to Gwadar’s economic growth.
“Investors playing a key role in Gwadar’s economic development will be provided with land at concessional rates besides provision of other facilities,” he said.
He highlighted key benefits for investors, including a 23-year tax holiday, customs duty exemptions, and access to international-standard infrastructure and amenities.
The meeting also discussed port development, expansion of the deep-sea terminal, and enhancements in cargo handling. GCCI leaders urged the government to further simplify investment procedures and expand incentive packages.
Separately, He inspected water pumping stations and storage tanks in Gwadar and reviewed the city’s water supply system. He announced that the long-delayed desalination plant would be made operational soon.
