The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) is set to hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on July 24 in Dhaka, Bangladesh, despite opposition from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Reports indicate that the notice for the meeting has already been distributed to all member boards, with ACC President Mohsin Naqvi personally summoning the meeting.

Both the BCCI and Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) have expressed concerns regarding the venue, requesting the ACC to consider shifting it due to logistical and political issues.

Nevertheless, it appears that the meeting will proceed as planned in Dhaka, as the ACC has provided member boards with a 15-day advance notice to facilitate necessary arrangements.

The proposed plan for the Asia Cup suggests that the tournament could be hosted in the UAE, with the event tentatively scheduled to commence on September 5 and conclude by September 21.
