In a move to ensure public convenience, the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC) has decided to continue water tanker service during Eid ul Adha.
Following the instructions of Mayor Karachi, Murtaza Wahab, the CEO of KWSC – Ahmed Ali Siddiqui – ordered the Hydrants Cell to maintain an uninterrupted supply of tankers during the Eid holidays to avoid inconvenience for residents.
Muhammad Siddique Tanio, in-charge of the Hydrants Cell, said the service will run as normal, and online water tanker bookings will be honored without delay during Eid.
To ensure smooth operations, all leaves of tanker drivers and Hydrants Cell staff have been postponed, ensuring round-the-clock availability throughout the holidays.

The original decision to suspend the tanker service during Eid has now been withdrawn on the Mayor’s directive, ensuring consistent water supply across Karachi.
Shahbaz Bashir, focal person and CEO representative for the Hydrants Cell, will personally monitor and supervise the supply and delivery of water tankers during the holiday period.
Bashir’s role includes addressing any complaints, technical issues, or delays immediately, ensuring citizens receive timely water delivery without hurdles.
The decision is part of a broader effort by Karachi’s administration to provide uninterrupted municipal services during Eid, supporting public health and sanitation efforts.
The Water Corporation has also appealed to the public to book tankers through the official online portal and report any complaints to the designated hotline for swift resolution.
