Customs officials at Jinnah International Airport have seized illicit drugs valued at Rs 370 million in three separate operations, confirmed by a spokesperson.
The seizures were made after officials intercepted suspicious parcels from France and Germany, which upon inspection, tested positive for illegal substances using advanced drug detection kits.
According to the Customs spokesperson, the bust marks one of the most significant anti-smuggling actions this year. The pills were confiscated and a First Information Report (FIR) was registered to launch a full-scale investigation into the trafficking network.
Authorities are now working to trace the origin and destination of the narcotics, with international links being probed. The successful operations highlight Pakistan Customs’ intensified efforts to curb drug smuggling through major airports.
