Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal has officially invited Chinese medical companies to set up their production units in Pakistan, aiming to boost investment and medical innovation.

Speaking at the International Medical and Innovation Center in China, the health minister highlighted Pakistan’s efforts to modernize its healthcare sector.

The event was attended by top Chinese officials, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s Secretary General, Belarus’ Deputy Prime Minister, health ministers of member countries, and global medical experts.

Minister Kamal stressed Pakistan’s commitment to promoting investment in the health sector, especially in areas like pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, and telemedicine.

After the ceremony, participants visited an exhibition showcasing the latest medical equipment and technologies.

He also shared updates on Pakistan’s telemedicine project, which aims to connect primary and secondary healthcare systems. He said timely disease prevention will be possible through online medical services, especially in remote areas.

Pakistan is launching a new project to secure medical records, under which citizens’ medical data will be linked to their NADRA ID cards, allowing doctors quick access to important health details.

This initiative will help in faster diagnoses, better treatment, and stronger public health policies.

Minister Kamal stressed that secure, authentic data will allow the ministry to predict and prevent diseases more effectively. He also said that the government is committed to promoting traditional Chinese medicine in Pakistan.

He added that foreign investors would be given full support as Pakistan is taking serious steps to make the country an attractive destination for healthcare partnerships.
