Islamabad United crushed Peshawar Zalmi by 102 runs in a one-sided contest, delivering a bold statement of intent in the ongoing PSL season 10.
The match began with Islamabad setting a mammoth total of 243/5, built on top-order brilliance and a spectacular century from opener Saim Ayub’s partner, Sahibzada Farhan.
Farhan’s fireworks lit up the innings, as he smashed boundaries at will and anchored the explosive start, guiding Islamabad to a massive total.
Backed by Colin Munro’s aggression and Shadab Khan’s late strokes, Islamabad ended strong, leaving Zalmi with a daunting chase that few saw as achievable.

In response, Zalmi struggled to gain momentum. As Babar Azam once again failed to impress as he got out after scoring 1 on 3 balls.
Mohammad Haris fought a lone battle, scoring a gritty 87 off just 47 balls under immense pressure.

With wickets tumbling around him, Haris’s dismissal became the turning point, as Islamabad’s bowlers seized control and continue their dominance in the game.
Imad Wasim bagged three crucial wickets against Zalmi.
Captain Shadab Khan chipped in with a vital strike, while Australian pacer Ben Dwarshuis maintained pressure with sharp pace and smart variations.
The last Zalmi pair, Ali Raza and Mohammad Ali, attempted to resist, but Dwarshuis ended the innings with a perfect length delivery that bowled Ali.
Islamabad United bowled out Zalmi for just 141 runs in 18.2 overs, securing a commanding 102-run win that boosted their net run rate significantly.
