Shastri, Wasim, Gavaskar take sarcastic dig at Inzamam over Imam Ul Haq's run out

Ravi Shastri, Wasim Akram and Sunil Gavaskar took a playful jab at former Pakistan cricketer Inzamam-ul-Haq after his nephew Imam-ul-Haq was run out during the high-profile India vs. Pakistan match in Dubai.

It all unfolded during the 10th over when Imam attempted a quick single after playing a delivery from Kuldeep Yadav. He was caught short of the crease, thanks to a brilliant throw by Axar Patel, which left Imam stranded for 10 runs.

Shastri, known for his sharp wit, couldn’t resist poking fun at Inzamam, who is infamous for being run out 46 times in his international career. Shastri jokingly asked, “Does it run in the family?”

Wasim Akram, responding to Shastri’s comment, quipped, “No comment. Inzy will get upset. But I might have been there somewhere too. I wasn’t the best runner in the world. It was kind of a suicide run. There was no need for it.”

Gavaskar, always ready with a sarcastic remark, followed up with, “Ravi, you asked if it runs in the family? I think there’s no run in it.”

The humorous exchange didn’t just get attention from the cricketers but also sparked a flurry of memes on social media, with fans having a laugh at Imam and Inzamam’s expense.

Despite the run-out, Pakistan managed to regain momentum, finishing 160/4 after 35 overs in their Champions Trophy clash against India.
