16th Karachi Literature Festival to begin on Feb 07

The 16th edition of the Karachi Literature Festival (KLF) will take place from February 7 to 9 at the Beach Luxury Hotel, with over 200 literary figures from across Pakistan.

The three-day festival will feature more than 70 sessions, including 26 book launches, alongside panel discussions, book talks, and dramatic readings.

Sindh’s chief minister will attend the opening ceremony, where keynote speakers include Syeda Arifa Zehra and Fakir Aijazuddin, while Asghar Nadeem Syed and Mishal Husain will speak at the closing ceremony.

A total of 44 sessions’ are scheduled to be held on the second day at KLF, with topics including Climate Change education, Media and Youth Mental Health, Karachi comedians: Stage or Insta?, and unlock your creativity Theatre game.

Moreover, the third day of the event is scheduled to witness 29 sessions with topics including Pakistan-Bangladesh Relations: A Reset, Pakistan’s Population: Time Bomb or Dividend? And others for Public Interest.

In literature sessions, the participants will attend several book launch events along with book discussions with the authors.

Youth pavilion session will feature several activities for youngsters including some theatre fun and games, Mind Twisters: The thinking Zone with Amna Ghulam Hussain, Story Time, and others.

The speakers will discuss The Role of AI in Step changing Education Outcomes in Pakistan on the second day of the event while the emergence of Urdu Rap in Pakistan will also discussed in culture session.
