The much-anticipated Karachi Air Show will take place today at Sea View as part of the ongoing IDEAS 2024 defense exhibition.
As per Express Tribune reports, this grand event will feature live demonstrations by Pakistan’s Army, Navy, and Air Force, showcasing their cutting-edge capabilities and professionalism.
The Pakistan Navy’s Sea King helicopters will showcase their combat readiness in an impressive demonstration, while the Pakistan Air Force will captivate audiences with a spectacular aerial fly-past featuring JF-17 Thunder and F-16 jets.
The show will also showcase the elite Special Services Group (SSG) Commandos who will execute high-altitude jumps, descending thousands of feet with precision, highlighting their exceptional training and skills.
This event aims to display the synergy between Pakistan’s armed forces and foster national pride, while also promoting international military cooperation. High-ranking dignitaries, including ambassadors and military personnel, are expected to attend.

Citizens are advised to plan ahead as heavy congestion is expected due to security measures, VIP movements, and public turnout due to the IDEAS Karachi Show at Nishan-e-Pakistan (Sea View).
The citizens are advised to avoid Abdul Sattar Edhi Avenue and nearby roads.
Event Timings: 1:45 PM to 5:35 PM.
Schools in DHA Phases 5, 6, and 8 have been closed early to ease the situation.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area and use alternative routes to minimize inconvenience.
