Pakistan plans to introduce 5G service soon

Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif asserted that the federal government’s commitment to reaching $25 billion in IT exports over the next three years, while expressing optimism that 5G services is going to launch soon in Pakistan.

Addressing a private sector delegation in Islamabad, PM Shehbaz highlighted the ongoing efforts of the government to strengthen and promote the telecommunications sector, hoping to achieve the target of USD 25 billion through IT exports in the next three years, which also assists the government’s vision for Digital Pakistan.

PM stressed that the critical role of the telecom sector in advancing a cashless and digital economy, adding that 5G will enhance internet reliability and speed across the country.

The delegation praised the government’s economic stability efforts, acknowledging Pakistan’s growing appeal as an IT and telecom investment destination.
