Yango and Saniplast join hands to boost community safety and first-aid readiness

Yango, the international ride-hailing service and part of global tech company Yango Group, has announced a major safety initiative in collaboration with Uniferoz (Saniplast), aimed at equipping its partner drivers with essential first aid kits and providing them with critical first-aid training. This partnership is part of an ongoing effort to enhance community safety and first-aid readiness across Pakistan’s major cities.

After equipping the full partner fleet in Lahore and Islamabad with first aid kits, Yango is now extending the initiative to the partner fleet in Karachi. The campaign was officially launched on October 7th, continuing to ensure that every Yango partner’s driver across these cities is prepared for any medical emergencies on the road. In its second phase, the program will expand to include motorbike riders in all three cities.

“We are proud to take the next step in ensuring the safety of not just our partner’s drivers, but also the communities they serve,” said Miral Sharif, Country Manager, Yango Pakistan. “By providing both first aid resources and comprehensive training, we are empowering partner’s drivers to respond effectively to emergencies, which is a crucial part of our ongoing commitment to safety.”

In addition to distributing First Aid Kit Boxes and Saniplast Bandage Samples, Saniplast will soon begin conducting training sessions for Yango partner’s drivers. These sessions will cover essential first aid practices, such as CPR and basic wound care, ensuring that partner’s drivers are not only equipped with supplies but also the skills needed to manage unforeseen health incidents. This hands-on training will be rolled out across Lahore, Islamabad, and Karachi in the coming weeks.

Ms. Uzma Noreen, Manager Marketing, Uniferoz Pvt Ltd. stated, “Our collaboration with Yango continues to be built on our commitment to enhancing health and safety within the community. Through this ongoing partnership and our joint efforts, we aim to empower partner drivers with the knowledge and tools needed to make a real difference in emergencies.”

Yango and Saniplast are encouraging community members and organisations to support this initiative by raising awareness of the importance of first-aid readiness. Partner’s drivers interested in participating in the program can find more information on the Yango app or website.
