The renowned foreign organization, “Four Paws,” has arrived in Pakistan to facilitate the transfer of the elephant named Madhubala to Karachi Safari Park. This significant step aims to ensure the well-being and suitable habitat for the elephant.
Sources indicate that the Four Paws team has landed in Pakistan and is scheduled to assess the preparations at the zoo. The team will thoroughly inspect the new elephant enclosure that has been set up at the safari park to ensure its compliance with the required standards.
In addition to the enclosure inspection, the Four Paws team is expected to engage in discussions with the top officials of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC). This meeting is anticipated to culminate in the announcement of the scheduled transfer date for the elephant Madhubala.
This development follows the unfortunate demise of Noor Jahan, the hyena, at Karachi Zoo. As a response to this, authorities have taken proactive measures to relocate Madhubala to Karachi Safari Park, aiming to provide her with an improved environment and enhanced care.
The involvement of the foreign organization Four Paws underlines the commitment of all stakeholders involved to prioritize animal welfare and ensure that creatures like Madhubala receive the appropriate living conditions and care they deserve. This move is expected to contribute to the broader cause of conserving wildlife and promoting ethical treatment of animals in Pakistan.
