Students who faced failures in the Intermediate (Inter) exams are urging authorities to waive the scrutiny fee of Rs 400 per paper. Expressing dissatisfaction with the results of the first-year exams in 2023, students in Karachi are raising concerns about the accuracy of the scrutiny process and are demanding immediate fee relief.
According to students, there are discrepancies in the scrutiny of copies for thousands of first-year inter students. They claim that the numbers were not accurately accounted for in the scrutiny process.
The Deputy Controller of Examinations at the Matriculation Board informed that the scrutiny process has commenced for Inter exams. Two counters have been set up, and the scrutiny process is assured to be transparent, with copies being examined by senior professors.
Amid the ongoing scrutiny, the administration is receiving applications from candidates who have not submitted the scrutiny fee. The board administration will be presenting the matter concerning the fee waiver to the chairman of the board for further consideration. The students are hopeful for a fair and accurate scrutiny process that addresses their concerns about the examination results.
