Sindh government started the registration of “Sindh Senior Citizen Azadi Card” to provide free services to about 3.7 million senior citizens above the age of 60 in the province.
From March to mid-August 2025, 29,821 senior citizens have registered with the Sindh Senior Citizen Azadi Card is set to be issued from September.
According to the spokesperson, permanent residents of Sindh aged 60 or above are eligible to apply.
Applicants are required to submit the department’s form along with three passport-sized photographs, a certified copy of their identity card, and all necessary documents to the nearest social welfare office. These offices are located across all districts of Sindh, ensuring accessibility for all residents.
In Karachi, social welfare offices can be found at the Sindh Senior Citizen Shelter Home in Sector 5-E, Near Bilal Police Station, New Karachi (District Central); UCD Council in Orangi Town (District West); Plot No. 185, Sector 36-A, Near Dargah Usman Shah Ghazi, Korangi No. 5 (Korangi District); Lions Club, Metro No. 2, Site Area (Kemari District); Deputy Commissioner Office (Malir District); Gate No. 4, Governor House, Saddar (South District); and ST-4, Block 7, Near Iqra University, Gulshan-e-Iqbal (East District).
The Sindh government will issue this card to all eligible senior citizens of the province, the spokesperson added.
The Sindh Senior Citizen Azadi Card holders will get free medical facilities, discounts on medicines, reduced fares in public transport, queue-free services in government offices, discounts at entertainment venues and financial assistance.
