Vice Chancellors of all public universities across Sindh have been directed to begin preparations for celebrating “Independence Day and Marka-e-Haq” with enthusiasm and full student participation.
This directive was issued by Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori, who also serves as Chancellor of public universities, during a meeting held at Governor House, Karachi.
He emphasized that Independence Day should be celebrated not only as a national holiday but also as an opportunity to inspire patriotism, unity, and positive thinking among students.
The Governor instructed university heads to plan a variety of campus events including cultural programs, debates, seminars, and exhibitions that reflect Pakistan’s history, sacrifices, and achievements.
He said these activities should highlight national pride and create awareness about the importance of unity and truth in today’s time.
Tessori added that involving students in these celebrations will strengthen their understanding of the country’s values and struggles.
The theme Independence Day and Marka-e-Haq aims to link Pakistan’s military response to Indian aggression in May 2025.
