Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab has officially inaugurated the city’s first-ever Dino Theme Theatre at Safari Park.
The new attraction promises education and entertainment, offering children a chance to learn about nature, animals, and environmental care in an engaging way.
Speaking at the event, Murtaza Wahab praised the private sector for its consistent support. “I am thankful to the private sector. They always bring creative ideas, and we receive valuable help when it’s time to implement them,” he said.
He stressed the importance of open-air spaces for the public. “A society cannot survive without accessible public spaces. The wealthy can go anywhere, but the average citizen needs open places to breathe and enjoy.”
Wahab appreciated the storytelling during the theatre’s opening ceremony. He highlighted the value of teaching children about nature from an early age. “The message about loving animals, plants, and the environment was well-delivered. If children learn this by age four or five, they will grow into responsible adults. That’s every parent’s dream,” he added.
The Mayor shared his global experiences, stating that the theatre and surrounding park environment meet international standards. “I’ve seen similar places around the world. What we’ve built here is no less. I’m proud we made this possible in our own Karachi.”
He also applauded the team behind the event. “Their performance made the opening ceremony a success. I truly appreciate their hard work.”
Reflecting on his vision, Wahab said, “I always dreamed of a happy and beautiful Karachi. This city is unique, it’s mini Pakistan. The government can make efforts, but real success comes when the citizens step forward.”
The Dino Theme Theatre is now open to the public and marks another step toward making Karachi a more family-friendly, nature-loving city.
