The Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) has announced its nationwide Internship Program for fresh graduates across various academic disciplines.
The internship offers a monthly stipend of Rs. 20,000 and runs for eight weeks. It aims to provide graduates real-world experience in a top public sector organization.
Who Can Apply for the Internship?
Graduates with a maximum age of 26 years, a minimum CGPA of 2.8, and who completed their degree within the last three years can apply.
This internship is open only to degree holders from HEC-recognized institutions. Applicants must also hold valid CNICs and personal bank accounts in their own name.
Internship Quota and Disciplines Covered
WAPDA is offering 50 seats in the following fields:
- Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Geological)
- Computer Science / IT
- Finance & Accounting
- HR Management
- Mass Communication
Quotas are divided into Open Merit (40 percent) and Provincial Quotas (60 percent), covering all regions including Punjab, Sindh, KP, Balochistan, AJK, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Ex-FATA.
Documents Required
Applicants must upload all academic documents, latest transcripts, a valid CNIC copy, domicile, updated CV, two passport-size photos, and police verification form.
Applications must be completed via the official link available under the Careers section at: www.wapda.gov.pk. Hand-submitted forms will not be accepted.
Last Date and Final Selection Criteria
The deadline to apply is May 14, 2025. Incomplete or late applications will be rejected, while only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews.
No TA/DA will be offered, and selection is subject to final document verification. This internship does not guarantee permanent employment at WAPDA.
