In light of recent scheduled power outages announced by K-Electric, residents need to stay informed about when and which areas will be affected.
To keep its system stable, KE Electric, the private company that supplies electricity to Karachi, carries out routine phased repair work in different areas on its 2,100 feeders network, resulting in a prolonged power outage in the area.
When the maintenance work is scheduled, K-Electric issues announcements regarding the power outages – typically a day earlier, which are often overlooked by many residents.
To avoid any confusion, it’s important to know how to check whether your area is impacted by these outages.
Times of Karachi has gathered data to help citizens check areas about where and when the power outages are scheduled.
