A chilling CCTV footage emerged, showing a kidnapping attempt in Korangi’s Bhatai Colony which the brave mother and young girl successfully foiled.
The incident took place in Sector D, where CCTV footage captured the moment when two men on a motorcycle tried to abduct the girl.
In the video, the woman is seen walking with the girl when the motorcycle intercepted them.
One of the men gets off and attempts to grab the girl, but she manages to break free and screams for help. The woman also cries out, which causes the kidnapper to back off.
The man on the bike rushes back, and both men quickly flee the scene.
Reports indicate the kidnapper threatened the girl, saying he would cut off her finger if she didn’t comply.
Following the incident, the police have launched an investigation, with the SSP of Korangi confirming that they are following the family’s statement.
This disturbing incident adds to the ongoing concerns about child safety in Karachi, especially following the recent disappearance of 5-year-old Aaliyan and 6-year-old Ali, as well as the unresolved case of 8-year-old Sarim’s kidnapping and death.
The police’s failure to apprehend the culprits behind these crimes has raised public questions about the effectiveness of law enforcement in tackling such cases.
