Sindh govt to launch E-taxi service in Karachi

The Sindh government has announced the commencement of an electric taxi service in Karachi on Wednesday, as reported by 24 News HD TV channel. The service is set to begin in the new financial year, according to Sindh Transport Minister Sharjeel Memon.

Minister Memon stated that the introduction of the electric taxi service will create employment opportunities for the youth in Karachi. In the initial phase, 150 taxis will be launched.

To ensure safety and convenience, separate pink cabs will be available for women passengers, with female drivers operating these vehicles. The proposed plan also includes red-colored cabs specifically designated for male passengers.

In other news, the Federal Board of Revenue has transferred 23 Customs officers.
